Healthcare is more than your yearly visit to the doctor. In fact, quality healthcare should be much more comprehensive, and it should be designed to give everyone the access they need to the care they deserve. You can get that support from Mountain Laurel Integrated Healthcare with our extensive additional service options.
These services are intended to complement your regular healthcare needs. They are targeted at populations in need, and they are created to make your time with us better.
Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment is known more commonly as SBIRT. SBIRT is a screening process that is designed to find people at risk for alcohol and drug abuse within the community. To be effective, SBIRT is comprehensive, population-based, and integrated.
We use SBIRT screening in clinical settings, and we also employ community outreach programs. These settings appeal to more people because they are often in easily accessible locations and offer nontraditional hours.
In addition to screening, we use SBIRT to house seminars and workshops. This community-based program works in tandem with our healthcare goals and helps serve those who may not otherwise seek help.
At Mountain Laurel Integrated Healthcare, we use telehealth services regularly. While not all medical appointments are best served through telehealth, we've found that counseling and medication management are two areas where the virtual approach yields substantial results.
These long-distance options allow counseling to continue even when individuals are traveling, which supports a better continuity of care. By using telecommunication technologies for medication management appointments, it's possible to make sure that people who are unable to travel still have access to health-related services needed to manage their conditions.
We're proud to offer this flexibility to you. Talk to your provider to see if telehealth appointments might be appropriate for your care.
Community Engagement Services, or CES, help people with serious mental illness, substance abuse issues, and co-occurring disorders get the help they need to live meaningfully and productively. If you participate in CES, you work with a highly trained specialist to help you stay on track with recovery.
These services are offered in community settings, allowing patients to recover without involuntary commitment. CES works alongside civic clubs, churches, state and federal agencies, regional businesses, regional services, hospitals, clinics, veteran services, nonprofit organizations, and more.
Our CES program is available during the daytime and after hours to meet your needs. If you'd like to learn more, we'd be happy to tell you about the program.
